Richard S. Banas

President and Chief Executive Officer - Catlin US

Richard Banas joined Catlin in April 2006 as president and chief executive officer of Catlin US. Prior to joining Catlin, he was executive vice president and chief underwriting officer of XL Professional Lines. He previously served as chief underwriting officer for XL's global insurance operations. He also served as a managing director of One Beacon Insurance Group and as senior vice president and chief insurance operating officer at CGU-North America. He also held various underwriting and business development responsibilities at St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company, where he worked for more than 20 years.

Vincent Brazauskas

Chief Administrative Officer

Vincent Brazauskas joined Catlin in April 2006 as the chief administrative officer of Catlin US. Prior to joining Catlin, he was chief administrative officer at Commercial Union Insurance Company and subsequently at CGU and One Beacon. He also previously served as vice president of claims, with responsibility for all ongoing claim operations. He has more than 30 years of insurance experience.

Peter W. Presperin

Chief Financial Officer

Peter Presperin joined Catlin in December 2006 as chief financial officer of Catlin US. Prior to joining Catlin, he was the chief financial officer of Zurich's Discontinued Operations in the US. He previously served as the CFO of Fireman's Fund Insurance Company and as CFO of GE Capital's Life Insurance Operations. Peter has held a variety of insurance-related finance positions in the insurance industry in his 25-year career.

Nick Greggains

Chief Underwriting Officer-Insurance

Nick Greggains joined Catlin in June 2007 as chief underwriting officer-insurance for Catlin US. He had previously been president and chief operating officer of XL Design Professional, a unit of XL Insurance. Prior to joining XL, he held positions at Brown & Brown Risk Management and Corcoran & Havlin Insurance. He began his career at Commercial Union Assurance Co. in the UK, later transferred to the US and eventually served as vice president of global risks for CGU Insurance, the successor company to Commercial Union.

Joe Horan

Chief Underwriting Officer-Reinsurance

Joe was appointed chief underwriting officer-reinsurance for Catlin US in January 2009. He joined Catlin as director of accident and health reinsurance in December 2006 following Catlin's acquisition of Wellington Underwriting plc. After beginning his career with Reliance National, he has held underwriting and executive positions at Reinsurance Management Services and Duncanson & Holt. He helped found the Reinsurance Management Group in 1999. Joe is a graduate of SUNY Buffalo.
